Fitting Instructions for Secondary Glazing

1. Please note the panel may not be square so please establish which is the longest side.
2. Wipe down the metal window frame to remove all grease and dirt.
3. Place the panel on a soft but firm surface such as a bed or table with a cloth on it.
4. Pull the protective layer back about 6 inches on all four edges of one side of the panel.
5. Remove the adhesive tape from the back of the rough Velcro strip and place around the edge of the panel.
6. Place the other half of the Velcro tape (softer surface) on top of the rough Velcro tape on the edge of the panel.
7. Remove the backing tape from the Velcro strip and remove the rest of the protective film from the panel on the side the Velcro is fitted.
8. Offer the panel up to the window frame and place one edge of the panel next to the pulley system of the shutter if fitted.
9. Gently press the edge next to the pulley down and gently work your way around the panel ensuring that it is fixed onto the metal of the window frame.
10. If it is out of line you can lift the panel and tape off and reposition correctly.
11. When satisfied that the panel is in the right position apply pressure around all the edges.
12. You can now remove the polythene protective film from the other side of the panel.
13. It is recommended that you do not touch the unit for 24 hours in order to allow the super adhesive to secure properly.
14. If you need to take the panel off it is recommended that you lift one corner gently insert a thin piece of metal such as a blunt knife and gradually slide it between the 2 layers of Velcro all round the panel.
15. The panel can be cleaned by using warm soapy water and a soft cloth. Do not use any abrasive cleaner or cloth on the panel as it will scratch the panel.
16. Panel can be stored by either placing in a flat position or rolling up. If you decide to roll the panel up for storage do not secure with adhesive tape as this will mark the panel.
